Raphaelis closing his bookstore. He wants to place a full-page advertisement in the newspaper to announce his going-out-of-business sale. A full-page ad is 13" by 12", which allows for a white border around the ad.
Raphael used his computer to make an 8.5" by 11" model of the advertisement, but he wants the newspaper ad department to enlarge it to full-page size. Is this possible? Explain your reasoning.
No, it is not possible because the advertisment Raphael make is 8.5" by 11" and the whole page is 13" by 22" so it take 11 times 2 to make 22 but when we multiply 8.5 by 2 it gives us 17 but the page is 13" by 22". So the add will go off the paper. The add would not be clear also so I do not think that can happen.
What would you suggest Raphael say to the ad department about making a full-page, similar ad from his model?
I think he should say to the add department to make the page smaller or make it bigger. We can decrase the with of the model to 6.5 and then enlarge.
